Editorial policy
We write so you don't have to learn the hard way. Here's how SoldNest keeps your interests first in everything we publish.
What you can expect from us
Our priority is helping you make your next move in real estate without getting steered in the wrong direction. That means keeping the information accurate, balanced, and clear, even when the truth is inconvenient. That's what our editorial standards are for.
How we write
Our goal is to help you make better decisions without getting talked into the wrong ones. We start with the problem the article is meant to solve, then focus on what to do, what to avoid, and what tends to cost people money when they miss it. We keep it straightforward. If it's a trade-off, we'll tell you what you gain and what you give up. If it's a bad idea, we'll say that too.
How we check our work
We treat details like they matter, because they do. Before we publish, we verify the key points and make sure the guidance matches how the process actually works. And when something varies by state, market, price point, or property type, we call that out so you don't apply a general rule to the wrong situation.
Expertise and sources
Most of our content is written by our primary author, a licensed real estate broker, based on firsthand experience from the field. When a topic goes beyond an agent's lane (legal, tax, lending, escrow), we'll include quotes from the right professionals when it helps and clearly attribute them. And when we reference data, research, or third-party claims, we link to the original source so you can verify it yourself.
No pay-to-play
We don't accept paid placement in our content, and we don't write articles to steer you toward a specific agent or brokerage. Our job is to help you make the right decision, even when that decision is "walk away." SoldNest may be compensated if you choose to work with an agent who meets our standards, but that never influences what we publish or who we recommend. Here's how we make money.
Updates and corrections
Real estate changes, and content can get outdated. When something needs an update or clarification, we fix it. If you spot an issue, email us at support@soldnest.com.
